Myakka River State Park
The Myakka River State Park is a nearby park that offers paved and unpaved biking and walking paths. The Myakka River flows through 58 square miles of one of the oldest and largest parks in the state. While biking inside the park is a popular activity, on-the-water activities like canoeing and kayaking are popular as well.
The Legacy Trail
The Legacy Trail is a 10-mile stretch of flat trails that provide historic and nature stops along the way. The winter season is the best time to ride this trail system as there is very little shade and can be hot in the summer months. The trail runs from Sarasota down south near Venice, and the closest entrance from Crescent Royale is at the Palmer Ranch Trailhead.

Venetian Waterway Park
Linking up with the Legacy Trail at the Historic Venice Train Depot, the Venetian Waterway park features five miles of walking and biking trails on either side of the Intracoastal Waterway. This scenic park is home to wildlife and beautiful views with various stops along the way.
Bike on the beach
Of course, you can always bike on the beach. With over six miles of sand and shore, there is plenty to explore. Be sure to stick to the hard-packed sand and not the “softer side” of the beach. With fewer crowds, winter is the perfect time to bike on the beach as summer can be crowded with less room to cruise. The sidewalks of Siesta Village also make for a great bike outing for a day of shopping and restaurants.
